The Wattbike monitors everything you need to know about your cycling and will help to track progress as your training develops. Whether you are looking to monitor your power output, cadence, heart rate and the effectiveness of your pedalling, there is a measurement parameter for you.

What you track is up to you – you can just use the parameters shown in the Wattbike Performance Computer (and they are pretty extensive) or if you want to save and analyse in more detail, record and save sessions directly into the powerful Wattbike Expert Software.

Just using the Wattbike Performance Computer you can select 3 main text screens showing pace per km, speed or watts:

You can show other parameters on the same screens such as elapsed time, revolutions per minute (r/m - current and average), heart rate (current and, by pressing ENTER average – replaces average r/m), distance covered in metres (shows average watts when in watts screen) and average speed.

As soon as your workout is complete Recall information is shown automatically and the data saved into the Wattbike Performance Computer Memory.

Within the workout information it is also possible to view the data in split format in multiples of 1 minute.

Another critical screen to use on the Wattbike Performance Computer is the Polar View which appears on the left hand side of the screen. On the right you can set any one of the pace per km, speed or watts text screens:

The Polar View shows the peak force profile of the left and right leg downstroke:

Whilst the ideal force curve is yet to be determined a number of shapes show the effectiveness of applying force as the crank rotates to maintain momentum and minimise the ‘dead spots’ at the top and bottom of each pedal revolution (the force curve reducing to zero at the centre of the graph).

In addition you can make sure that each leg contributes evenly (note the percentages for each leg at the bottom of the Polar View image.

If you want to keep a record of your workout then it is simple to transfer the data to Wattbike Expert Software or better still record the session live directly into the software.
