Pushing the Watts

After a week off with a bad lung! not needed – I was back on the Wattbike last night pushing some big Wattage on ABGL 6, loved the feeling (afterwards!). A velodrome in Derby - that would be nice

Road.cc have reported that Derbyshire City Council have put forward plans to improve their sporting provision with a Velodrome and Olympic size swimming pool. Watt a Night - Report from the Lichfield Wattbike League

The first race of the evening, a 500m time trial was won by Chris Stilgoe in 33.73 seconds. Alison Holmes finished in second place in 34.40 seconds closely followed by Beth Clayton 0.40 seconds later. Newman Targets New 24 Hour World Record

The 24 hour static cycling world record is set to come under threat today (11th December). Tom Newman from Fulham is aiming to surpass the record of 722.383 km (448.76 miles) on a Wattbike set by RAAM cyclist, Jim Rees at the Cycle Show in October.   Newman’s main motivation is raising money for the Princess Alice Hospice, but the 25 year old athlete has ensured that he will be spurred along… Read full post
