Stoke Tour Series with Rachel Przybylski

Posted by Matt Moran on Jun 18, 2012

Last week we took a trip to a very cold, windy and eventually wet Stoke-on-Trent to catch the Halfords Tour Series and meet up with a couple of riders who have been using a Wattbike in their training.  First up, we found Rachel Przybylski, riding for WyndyMilla/UK Youth in 2012 and also HotChillee Ride Captain for this week's London-Paris.

The weather started off grim and just got worse and worse, with the wind in particular playing havoc with the all of the races.  It was suprising that nobody was blown off the course (although one of the Tour Series motorbikes went down after a barrier was blown onto the circuit).  Credit to any rider going out on what was already a difficult course with plenty of ups and downs and a short sharp climb into a brutal headwind at the back of the circuit.

Rachel was caught up behind a crash before the race had even started but put in a valiant effort with her WyndyMilla/UK Youth team-mates to battle the conditions.  Serious respect to any rider out there last Thursday evening.

If you're taking part in The London-Paris then look out for Rachel who will be guiding Group 5 on the great event.
