Tired but happy.

Tired but happy. That's the mood at The London-Paris as we sit here on the ferry heading to France.  100 miles done and, despite arriving at the start in monsoon-like conditions, the ride was fairly dry.  Rolling terrain tested the legs of all riders and the final sting in the tail just outside Dover blew all of the groups to bits.

Lunch was much-needed with pasta and turkey the selection of the day. Xmas comes but once a year but rarely has a turkey been devoured in such quantities.  Great atmosphere in the groups, superbly marshalled by the HotChillee Ride Captains, sponsored by Wattbike.  What's evident is the brilliant work being done by charities and corporate teams to raise money by riding this event.

We were joined by Nigel Mansell in Group 3 today, he's already ridden 690 miles before starting London-Paris. Nothing but respect.  As we head to the hotel this evening we're tired but ready for another day on the bike.

Another 100 miles.
