In last month's Newsletter we asked for stories about how people use their Wattbike. We had some great responses but the winner of the Wattbike kit was Tony Kuipers from Australia. Tony only recently got into cycling having been unable to run due to a serious knee injury. After only three weeks of cycling he entered a couple of mountain bike events…

I went over to see Lee Dixon a few weeks ago to see how he was getting on with his training - Lee used to play football for Arsenal and England and can now be seen every weekend on BBC's Football Focus and Match of the Day 2. It's fairly obvious that Lee has been bitten by the cycling bug quite badly - it gets us all eventually, right? He's…

I’m off and running…well…cycling to be more accurate! I only joined Wattbike in January, and before the month was out I had been signed up to cycle from the Tour de France prologue in Liege to the Olympic Park in London to support the Right to Play Bike Ride 2012. I do cycle, but I have never attempted anything beyond about 50 miles…

The Times journalist, Robert Crampton, is taking on the Deloitte Ride Across Britain later this…

Having just completed my last sportive of 2011 I have to admit to feeling pretty tired. Not only because of the 55 mile hilly course around the Peak District but because I was recently ill. Getting back on the bike after a severe bout of sickness is something that simply cannot be rushed, it took nearly two weeks before I managed to not feel totally…

So we've been in the Alps in Annecy for 2 days, within 30 mins of arriving we'd been coerced into a ride with Sven, the organiser of the Alpine Challenge. He took us around Lake Annecy which has to be one of the most stunning rides I've ever done. A great loop on a traffic-free cycle path for half of the ride and a great fast road back into Annecy (except…

You might remember we recently heard the story of Ryan Scott who knocked 40 minutes off his sportive time after training on a Wattbike, well we also noticed a few tweets from one of our followers, DocRoddy, who was tweeting about his impressive performance in the Etape Caledonie. What makes Roddy's story interesting is that his occupation means…
