Over Christmas and New Year our Wattbike wasn’t used and when we came back to it the Performance Computer battery was flat.  I plugged in the battery charger that came with the bike, but this does not charge the battery, although the charger does get fairly hot, so presumably it is doing something.  The Performance Computer works while pedalling the bike, but pedalling seems to have little effect on charging the battery either.

Even stranger, when we run the Wattbike while connected to a PC, the power reading shown in the Expert software is now a fraction of that shown on the Performance Computer (the value on the Performance Computer feels about right).  This was not a problem before battery issue.

Any ideas what is going on and, more importantly, how we can fix the problems?
