Overview
The Wattbike Performance Computer is a ground breaking monitor that is fitted as standard. It is a graphic display driven device with a range of features that have never before been available on an indoor exercise machine. Navigation is intuitive through an easy to follow menu structure and 4 clearly labelled buttons that make it easy to use and manipulate during training.
The Wattbike Performance Computer offers a variety of 4 text units displays - Power, Energy, Speed, Pace/1km - and 3 graphic display options - a Signal Curve, Bar Chart and Polar Display. The user can choose from a library of pre-set workouts that load automatically, or even recall a previous training session and ReRide against it and monitor their heart rate using a standard uncoded Polar chestbelt or a chest belt with ANT/ANT+SPORT wireless technology.
It is fitted with a rechargeable battery and does not require an external power supply. When in use the battery is recharged with the help of integrated generator. It can also be recharged using an external 12V adapter, although the need for external recharging is almost entirely eliminated by the addition of the generator.
The Wattbike Performance Computer is equipped with 2Mb internal memory which has the capacity to store 2 hours, 55 minutes of data with a resolution of up to 100 samples per second. It is possible to increase the console’s storage capacity in terms of time by reducing the resolution to 50 or 25 samples per second.
The following table highlights the time capacity for each different sampling rate:
| 100 samples per second | 50 samples per second | 25 samples per second |
| 175’ | 350’ | 700’ |
| 2h 55’ | 5h 50’ | 11h 40’ |
The console can be connected to a PC via a USB cable which allows downloading of the training session(s) data to the Wattbike Software package for post-processing analysis and data manipulation.
The Wattbike Performance Computer is also equipped with a Logcard – a smart card for the user to store their personal information on such as their name, age and weight, as well as all the statistical training split data related to their training sessions. In all, up to 58.5 hours (3,510 minutes) of splits and six different individual custom workout definitions can be memorised on the Logcard.
