Epic mountain stages. Nail biting time trials. Hot competition for the Yellow jersey. It’s time for the Tour de France 2017.
No other cycling event inspires the nation to get on their bikes, but how do you get out on your bike and still have time to watch the highlights from the Tour? The answer of course, is to set yourself up on a Wattbike, and do both at the same time.
We’ve created four themed sessions, designed to hone the skills you’d need to take on the pro’s at the Tour.
View the sessions below, or ride along to them with real-time performance insights using the Wattbike Hub:
Time Trial
Session Length: 45 mins
Suggested viewing: Stage 1 in Dusseldorf - Saturday 1st July - 14:00 - 18:00 on ITV4 (live coverage)
The Tour starts on a Saturday, so take some time to watch live before starting your session in the final hour - you’ll be riding against the pro’s through the streets of Dusseldorf, enjoying views of the Rhine river.

Breakaway Stage
Session Length: 40 mins
Suggested viewing: Stage 15 Laissac-Sévérac l'Église / Le Puy-en-Velay - Sunday 16th July - 19:00 - 20:00 on ITV4 (highlights)
We can’t promise a breakaway, but this first category climb will be most likely to break up the bunch. With a rest day right after, there might be in for some surprise attacks from those with energy left to burn.

Climb Stage
Session Length: 60 mins
Suggested viewing: Stage 17 La Mure / Serre Chevalier - Wednesday 19th July - 19:00 - 20:00 on ITV4 (highlights)
Stage 17 promises a tough day of climbing as the peloton bridge four iconic climbs including the Col du Galibier. When you’re wincing through the pain of your own session, you’ll have a new appreciation for what the pro’s take on during the tour.

Sprint Stage
Session Length: 36 mins 40 secs
Suggested viewing: Stage 21 Montgeron/Paris - Sunday 23rd July - 17:30 - 18:45 on Eurosport 1 (live coverage)
The only sprint we could suggest riding alongside is the infamous sweep down the Champs-Elysees. We’d suggest finishing a couple of minutes before the pro’s - you don’t want to miss the winner!
