We’ve been working with Porsche Human Performance (PHP) for a couple of years at their base at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone, so we were delighted to be invited to join them at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Alongside Porsche’s fantastic display of modern and historic sportscars taking on the famous Goodwood hill, the guys from the PHP set up a challenge for visitors to challenge Porsche endurance driver Mark Webber on the Wattbike.
Mark is familiar with the Wattbike having taken part in the Porsche Human Performance Get Race Fit events over the last couple of years and so he was keen to set a target on the 200m challenge. And with a time of 10.6s the bar was set pretty high.
Over the 4 days of the Goodwood Festival of Speed though it turne out that we had quite a few keen riders come to the PHP stand with the winner eventually clocking 9.7s. Great work.
