Wattbike in the News: TV and Radio
Posted by Matt Moran on Aug 15, 2012
It’s been a busy few days here at HQ as we've been on the TV and Radio.
First up, you may have seen Wattbike appear on The Cycle Show on ITV4, when Rob Hayles took on a Peak Power Test and a Ramp Test, all in the name of assessing where he was compared to Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins. Our Steve did a great job in pushing Rob to his maximum. You can see the clip from The Cycle Show Episode 4 on ITVPlayer (Wattbike appears in Part 3).
A great accompaniment to this feature is a blog by our Sport Scientist, Eddie Flecther, on why training using power and heart rate is so effective.
We also appeared in a live lunchtime news report on BBC East Midlands TV and later on in the evening bulletins, discussing how the Wattbike had been behind so much of the recent weeks of success – thanks to the BBC for sending us the clip above.
And finally, our Alex also took a trip to the BBC Radio Nottingham studio to discuss recent success and how Wattbike had an involvement - you can hear his interview on BBC iPlayer.
Keep an eye out across the press for more Wattbike coming soon!
