Reconditioned Wattbike 25 Point Checklist

Mechanical Operation and Feel

The cases are removed to check the integrity of the internal parts; all are checked for normal operational behaviour. They are cleaned and grease and oil are applied if required.

What we check:

  1. Front assembly which includes;
  2. Magnetic adjuster,
  3. Belt tensioner and belt,
  4. Axel and bearing integrity,
  5. Manual electric generator impulse readings,
  6. Chain, chain guide and sprocket operation,
  7. Circuit board and strain gauge readings,
  8. Touch pad operation,
  9. Left and right crank arm finish and shape,
  10. Bottom bracket operation under stress,
  11. A short hard ride (1-2 mins) on the bike is done to ensure that the bike feels right through the pedal, the damper 'gears’ are checked as well as the magnetic resistance to ensure correct resistance.

Electrical Readings/ Performance Monitor (PM) Readings

This section ensures that the readings displayed on the PM are correct.

What we check

  1. Power readings are within 2%,
  2. Cadence readings,
  3. The polar graph is functioning correctly and left/right leg signals are working,
  4. Heart rate connection can be established with the PM,
  5. Battery operation,
  6. Firmware on the PM is the current version,
  7. PM surface defects, scratches and button operation.

Aesthetics and Outer Appearance

We check for flawed or broken parts and replace as needed, remaining parts are cleaned and polished.

Please note that reconditioned Wattbikes may show some minor signs of use.

What we check

  1. Case; Left, right, turbine cover and damper lever,
  2. Handlebar and handlebar post,
  3. Seat and seat posts,
  4. Legs
  5. Exposed frame parts,
  6. Magnetic gear knob,
  7. Adjustable levers.

At the end of your Wattbike's 25 point check, the Wattbike mechanic will complete and sign our Quality Control checklist and include it with your order.
