University of Minnesota replace data analysis software with Wattbike Hub app

The University of Minnesota recently received a visit from Wattbike Master Trainer Thomson Remo. Brandon Wicket, Hockey Strength and Conditioning Coach, and his assistant coaches were supported by Thomson to facilitate data transfer from the Wattbikes onto the Expert Analysis software and updated the firmware on the Wattbikes.

Staff were also taught how to use the Wattbike Hub app and its many features and benefits, such as Polar View, PES, pre-programmed sessions and data collection. After seeing the ease of data collection and exportation on the Wattbike Hub, University of Minnesota staff will replace many of the data collection functions for which they were previously using other software for.

Thomson also covered zone-based training on the Wattbikes, and took staff through the 6 Second Power Peak test and the 30 Second Test. Additionally, staff were also taught how to manipulate resistance throughout workouts to tie into strength and conditioning programme goals. Following on from this visit, Thomson will return to the University of Minnesota to support with the Wattbike Hub, its implementation into everyday S&C activities, as well as the introduction of testing protocols for athletes off-season, pre-season, and in-season.
