Whether you’re attempting to power through some online races, following your own training plan or just fancy testing out Wattbike Hub, it’s important that your Pain Cave is as prepared as you are. Kitting out your suffer chamber is essential for making your pre, during and post ride journey as comfortable as possible- because, let’s be honest, it’s not going to be pleasant otherwise!
Obviously, the centrepiece of your Pain Cave is going to be your bike, and it goes without saying that maintaining this is going to be the most important part of your Pain Cave upkeep. Not only will taking care of your bike prolong it’s life, but it can also help you on your way to a more comfortable ride. Whatever your goals, it’s more than likely that you’re going to be sweating it out in there. Investing in a training mat to go under your bike is essential - not only to protect your flooring from marks and sweat, but also to help reduce noise and vibrations, meaning less time dealing with neighbour noise complaints and more time on focused training.
Don’t forget during the sweat-fest, you’re definitely going to need a fan to keep cool!

If you’re looking to make the most of your training (and let’s face it, you’ve already dedicated a whole area of your house to this) you’re going to need a training app. A personal coach in your pocket, your chosen app and device will ensure you stay on track, whether you’re kit sweating through Sufferlandria or cruising past your pals on Zwift.
The journey is never going to smooth sailing, but these additions will (hopefully) make it is painless as possible!
