How YOU can use Wattbike to Train like Olympian Yukino Yoshida

The dust may have settled on the 2026 Winter Olympics, but for the best athletes in the world, training never stops.

Wattbike welcome Yukino Yoshida, Olympic speed skater as their newest global ambassador.

The 23-year-old specialises in short distance speed skating. The Japanese athlete has won three World Cups, the Japanese national championships in the 500m and competed at the 2026 games in Milan.

Wattbike became a key part of her training in April 2025 via support from WattCycling Japan, Wattbike’s Japanese distributor. With three structured sessions per week, she focused on three elements; repeatable moderate intensity training, HIIT and sprint training.

Her goal- develop high power endurance.

Effective training is rarely complex, but it is certainly very hard!

Since implementing regular training on the Wattbike, Yoshida has broken both her 500m and 1000m PBs, won the national championships, won a world cup and qualified for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
