Watts per kilo: explained

The cycling world is full of technical terms, but if you’re new to the sport there’s a few you should know. As part of your training, you’ll probably have heard the phrase ‘watts per kilo’ thrown around. But what does it actually mean, and how do you calculate yours? What does watts per kilo mean? Simply put, your watts per kilo (w/kg) is your power to weight ratio. It is your max power output, in watts, divided by your weight in kilos.
